“Not stated” means exactly that. Plenty of capable tools do not publish this detail, and we would rather leave a blank than guess on a competitor’s behalf.

What the choice actually turns on

PsychWriterPro automates the numbers - tables, classifications, confidence intervals - and assists narrative box by box. PsychAssist reasons across the whole case at once. If your pain is table-building, theirs is the more direct answer. If your pain is the synthesis, box-by-box assistance is help with typing rather than help with thinking.

Ask us both the same questions

Put these to PsychWriterPro and to us, live, on a case with something messy in it. Marketing claims are cheap and these are not.

  1. 01Show me the evidence in this case that contradicts the diagnosis - the scores, the instrument, and the session it came from.
  2. 02Pick any sentence in this draft. Show me the source it came from, and let me open it.
  3. 03Show me what a clinician approved into this record, and when.
  4. 04Export the audit trail for this case while I watch.
  5. 05Ask what happens to your clinical data: their privacy policy states it may be used “at its discretion for any lawful purpose” and aggregated for “any public or private purpose”. Ask for the business associate agreement in writing.

We answer all of these, and the table above shows what each vendor states publicly. The demo is where you find out which answers are real. The longer buyer’s guide has the rest.

If you are already using PsychWriterPro

Your score tables and classifications are the easiest part to replicate. The part that does not carry over is a narrative assembled box by box, because the whole point of a case file is that the sections are reasoning about the same data.

Bring a case with a contradiction in it - the one where the parent and teacher do not agree - and we will run these questions against it in front of you.

What PsychWriterPro states publicly

HIPAA and BAA
Privacy policy states it “will comply with the HIPAA requirements regarding privacy to the extent required by law”. A business associate agreement is not mentioned.
Data handling
States all patient data is stored encrypted with audit logging and team-only access. The privacy policy also states that it “may use Submitted Data at its discretion for any lawful purpose” and may aggregate it for “any public or private purpose”, with aggregated use not containing identifying information. OpenAI is named as the AI provider in its documentation.
Claims traceable to a source
Not stated. Its documentation notes what AI output lacks: “the qualitative information that the test examiner noted during the performance of the specific tests”.
Surfacing contradictory data
Not stated. The stated goal runs the other way: “to standardize tests administered across different scales”.
Clinician approval step
Accept-all or reject-all control over AI suggestions, with a stated reminder that generated text “should not be considered a final written product” and that the professional “assumes the ultimate responsibility”.

Hold both of us to the same questions. The six requirements are published to be applied to any platform, ours included, and how to choose turns them into questions for a demo.

Common questions

What is PsychWriterPro?
PsychWriterPro is a report generator for psychologists from Report Insights LLC. It takes entered test scores and automatically produces score tables, classifications, confidence intervals and graphs, with an AI Writer Assistant that drafts interpretative narrative inside individual sections of the report.
Is PsychWriterPro HIPAA compliant, and does it offer a BAA?
Its privacy policy states that it “will comply with the HIPAA requirements regarding privacy to the extent required by law”. A business associate agreement is not mentioned on the site. The policy also states that submitted data may be used “at its discretion for any lawful purpose” and aggregated for “any public or private purpose”. Read those terms yourself before sharing identifiable data.
What is the difference between PsychWriterPro and PsychAssist?
PsychWriterPro automates the numbers - tables, classifications, confidence intervals - and assists with narrative inside each box. PsychAssist holds the whole case as structured data and reasons across it, surfacing contradictory evidence and tying each claim to its source. One speeds up assembling the document; the other changes what the document rests on.
